Last week, China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center, approved the Samsung Galaxy Mega On (model number SM-G600), which means the device will likely make its official debut in the near future. Sadly, we haven’t come across images of the device, until now.

Recently, the Chinese authority leaked the Samsung Galaxy Mega On’s specs. Now, TENAA has posted images of the device, showing us the device from different angles.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega On is anything but a high-end device, judging from what we’ve learned about it. From what we can see, it won’t look premium either. Although it does look like an affordable device, it does come with pretty slim side bezels. Bezels aside, the device is pretty large. It measures 151.8 x 77.5 x 8.2 mm.

Like we said before, the Samsung Galaxy Mega On’s specs fail to impress, but this is expected from an affordable device. It sports a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Its camera combo consists of a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera that is ideal for snapping selfies and video chat. It only comes with 8 GB of internal storage, but we’re certain it will offer a microSD card slot for additional storage options. Under the hood is a Qualcomm-made quad-core processor. It’s possible that this CPU is the Snapdragon 412. TENNA lists that the Galaxy Mega On comes with 1 GB of RAM, but we’ve heard that another version offers 1.5 GB of RAM. It supports 4G LTE connectivity. To keep the lights on, the device comes with a 3,000 mAh battery. It runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega On is one of two devices to be part of the upcoming affordable Galaxy On series. According to past reports, the other device to join the lineup is the smaller Galaxy Grand On. This device sports a smaller 5-inch screen.

We are yet to confirm when Samsung plans to lift the lid on the Galaxy Mega On and the Galaxy Grand On, but, since the former has been approved by TENAA, we’re guessing it will be soon.
